Popular Nigerian singers, Skales and Jaywon, will perform at the Bodex Social Media Hangout billed for July 31, 2022.
The event, scheduled to hold at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, will bring together media personalities, fans, and stakeholders to have conversations on the influence of social media on politics, education, and other spheres of life.
According to a statement made available to The PUNCH on Friday, seasoned personalities and social media influencers have also been invited to speak at this year’s edition of the hangout.
Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Marwa (retd.); and South Africa Consul-General are the Special Guests of Honour for the day.
Other speakers include the Lagos State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso; Convener, EndSARS Reformpoliceng, Segun Awosanya (Segalinks); Managing Director, Milolar Group, Damilola Otubanjo; Digital enthusiast, Pamilerin Adegoke, NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi; and many others.
Speaking on the relevance of the event, the convener, Florence Hungbo, said, “Social media is fast becoming one of the best information and collaboration tools all over the world where participants and users of different social platforms have been at the heart of societal transformation and progress globally so, there is a need for constant reminder among users on how best these platforms can be used.
“Volt Media Advisory, organisers of the media gathering, has put in place top notch experts as speakers, panelists and moderators, who will be having enriching conversations on the influence of social media on politics, business, world culture, education, mental health, careers and innovation.”
Asides from Jaywon and Skales, other performing artistes include Akohun Badagry Dancers, Humblesmith, GKB Unicycle academy, Ara, Wale Thompson, others and DJ Kexzy on the wheel.
The event will be anchored by Gbenga Adeyinka, while Denrele Edun will be hosting the green carpet session.
