Tekno has released his highly anticipated album – ‘OLD ROMANCE’.
“Old Romance” is the debut studio album by Nigerian singer-songwriter Tekno, it was released on 10 December 2020 by Island Records, and The Cartel Entertainment. The album combines elements from R&B, and Afropop with Neo-soul percussive rhythms. Old Romance received favorable reviews from critics, as Motolani Alake for Pulse Nigeria said “As a producer and multi-instrumentalist, Tekno has an uncanny understanding of music and sounds“.

Singer-songwriter Tekno reveals the scope of his talents in Old Romance. His debut album folds snappy lyricism into alluring Afropop melodies tinged with dancehall, R&B, Afrohouse and more. Besides crafting expectedly dance-ready tunes in “Tumbo” and “Dana”, the singer also ties the obstacles associated with love (“Family Issues”) into an undeniably celebratory listen—as the previously released “Enjoy” makes clear.
